Two men were arrested on suspicion of rape in Ebonyi State.
According to the information provided by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the sate, Mr Chris Anyanwu, Anyanwu, two suspects (names withheld) were arrested for allegedly raping two women.
A
23-year-old SS3 student was raped by the suspect who picked her up and
headed to the Okporo forest, Okporo village in Ohaukwu Local Government
Area, Ebonyi State. When arrived to an isolated place the motorcyclist
brutally beat her and sexually assaulted.
Another suspect, was arrested for an alleged attempt to rape a 30-year-old woman in her farm, where she was cultivating wheat.
The
offender lured the woman into a building where he attack his victim
with intent to commit rape. Luckily, the woman was rescued by two
passersby, who heard woman's cries for help.
Both of the men were arrested and soon would be dragged to the court.
