result of the unprecedented kidnap in its territory on April 14.
The
3-month period has been characterized by a lot of hopes but failed
expectations, as the kidnap victims are still held in captivity. See how

2014: Throughout the whole month President Goodluck Jonathan calls for
assistance from the international community, as the abduction has caused
global outrage. Nigeria receives help from USA, UK, France, China and
other countries. Jonathan allegedly plans to visit the affected village
for the first time since the kidnap, but the meeting gets cancelled
reportedly for security reasons. However, Jonathan attends a
high-profile security summit on Boko Haram in Paris (May 17).
